Clackamas County cuts ties with anti-cop group

County Commissioner Paul Savas put it succinctly: "Here in Clackamas County, we don't believe in defunding the police. We stand with our public safety officials, because they stand with us."


Clackamas County stood up for public safety values by officially severing ties with an organization designed to defund and impede our law enforcement services.


"Following a Tuesday, March 29, update discussing the scope of Clackamas County’s participatory relationship with the group, commissioners voted by majority to stop attending future project meetings and request removal as a participating jurisdiction listed on the project’s website, concerned that constituents may incorrectly glean that the county endorses all of the group’s initiatives."
